What: Next week, the House Committee on Homeland Security will be holding a hearing on border security to discuss security in the southern border as the nation debates President Trump’s proposed wall and further militarization of the region. Secretary John Kelly, the new head of the Department of Homeland Security, is expected to testify.

But before Washington D.C. discusses these reckless and unnecessary proposals to escalate enforcement along the border, people from the borderlands directly impacted by these policies will make their voices heard.

Join us this Monday, February 6 for a telephonic and hill border briefing featuring key stakeholders from California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. They will discuss how border enforcement affects their communities, and how the extraordinary powers granted to immigration enforcement officers impacts their daily lives.

Who?: Southern border communities will speak up leading up to the February 7 House Homeland Security Committee hearing on Capitol Hill.

When?: Telephonic Press and Hill Border Security Briefing is on Monday, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. EST / 11 a.m. PST.
